4. To consider the following items and approve action:-
a) Cemetery
• Cemetery drainage – a report on the investigations and recommendations for action
• Ashes plots and memorials – a new location for ashes burials and to extend the remembrance garden
• Cemetery regulations – to update in order to maintain a tidy cemetery
• New tree on the roundabout – to approve the plans
b) Recreation ground
• Playground surfacing – to appoint a contractor to carry out repairs
• ROSPA play inspection report – to review the works recommended
• Public toilet door – an update on the works to replace the door with a manual system
• Tree works and issues – to include an update on an insurance claim for the fallen oak
• Community events – a report on the summerevents and an issue regarding the gate access
c) Christmas lights
• 2021 project – To install additional Christmas trees at Send Marsh and Burnt Common
d) Other projects (updates and further action)
• Grounds maintenance contract
• Tree planting for Queen’s 70th Jubilee
• Memorial trees for Send Marsh Green
• Willow tree on the Pound
• New litter and dog bins – location and costs
• New bus shelters in Send Marsh – the grant aid application
• Survey for Bush Lane Woodland
• Street lighting upgrade to LEDs
• Pavilion Redevelopment Sub-committee
