Members of Send Parish Council are hereby summoned to attend the
monthly meeting of SEND PARISH COUNCIL to be held on
Monday 20th June 2022 at 7.45 p.m.in the UPPER ROOM of the Lancaster Hall
for the purpose of transacting the following business
Public Session Members of the public are invited to express a view or ask any questions of the Council between
7.45 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. and then are welcome to observe the rest of the meeting

a) Notification of the approval of the following application by Guildford Borough Council 10th June 2022
20/P/00816 Burnt Common Nurseries, London Road, Send,
Proposed commercial development comprising of 3,303sqm floorspace for research and development (Class E(g) (ii)), light industrial (Use Class E(g)(iii)), general industrial (B2) and storage and distribution (B8) uses, internal access road, 110 parking spaces and overflow parking/external storage, 18 delivery vehicle bays, bicycle parking, bin stores and landscaping including attenuation ponds
b) Planning Committee Minutes – to note the Planning Minutes from the Committee meetings held in June 2022 and to receive an update on other planning applications Annex 2
7. Financial and other Council Matters
a) Internal Audit for Year ending 2021-22 – to consider the Internal Auditor’s report following the Audit held
on 29th May 2022 and agree a response – see attached Annex 3
b) Annual Return for the year ending 31 March 2022 (Section 1 Annual Governance Statement and Section 2 Accounting Statements 2021-22) – to receive and approve Annex 4
c) End of Year 2021-22 Budget report – to note the report see attached Annex 5
d) Monthly expenditure list for June 2022 – to approve Annex 6
e) Updated Asset List Annex 7
8. Council meetings, Policies and Procedures
a) Council Governance – approve the setting up of a staffing /human resources committee – advised by SALC
b) Review of Council’s Policies – to approve updated policies for 2022 Annex 8 & 9 (Lone worker & grants)
c) Co-option of Parish Councillor – to consider candidates for the role and co-opt a Parish Councillor
9. Pavilion Redevelopment Committee – note the minutes from the meetings in May and June Annex 10
10. Amenities and Leisure Services
a) Cemetery drainage – update from Cllr T Deacon
b) To note the minutes from the ALS Committee meetings May & June Annex 11
11. Communications – to consider the following requests and communications:-
a) Scouts – a request by the Scouts for sponsorship to support some youngsters to attend the World scouts Jamboree
b) Picnic on Rec following activity in Send Church Rooms – a request to use the pavilion facilities for a picnic on 10th July
c) Get Creative – a request to weatherproof the Kiosk
d) A request from the Rotary Club – would we pay for the hire of Lancaster Hall to enable the Rotary Club to run free first aid sessions for Residents
e) Other Communications – to receive any other communications received after the agenda has been prepared (for information only or to be discussed at a future Council meeting)
